Transportation strike is settled and there is fuel at the airport. The snow and Ku radars are installed on the aircraft.
Science flight #1 is planned for Friday October 16th.
The schedule for this flight is as follows:
7:00 AM power on the aircraft
7:30 AM Pre-flight brief in conference room at offices
8:30 AM door close
9:00 AM takeoff
**11 hour flight. Targest for this flight will be the Getz Ice Shelf and looking at the transition between sea and ice. Flight lines over Davitz Glacier will also take place.**
Post flight debrief 20 minutes after landing
There will likely be a Science flight #2 on Saturday October 17th.
That schedule will be:
9:00 AM power on the aircraft
9:30 AM Pre-flight brief in conference room at offices
10:30 AM door close
11:00 AM takeoff **11 hour flight to survey sea ice in the Weddell Sea**
Landing at 2200, post-flight brief at 2230 or ASAP
